"My Child Is Not A Monster!"Q. When do you find it hardest to control yourself? A. Mostly in school, it's hard to sit still for a long time. Then I get in trouble for not doing my work, and that makes me angry. It's not like I don't want to do the work, I just can't concentrate and sit still for so long. Q. What type of work do you have the hardest time concentrating on? A. Mostly on things like math facts, 6x9= , 8x7= ,... After about one row of these, I start getting fidgety. When you have homework, do you usually get it completed by the following school day? A. Not always, well not a lot. It's really hard to sit down and do more work after spending all day in class. I've tried doing it later in the evening but I'm too tired by then. Q. Are there things that your family can do to help you with your homework? A. Yes, they can help me to understand things better, but I still have to do the reading myself. I don't like to write either; sometimes I get to do it on the chalk board, that's not so bad because I can write really big and that's easier. Q.
