Technical Drawing can be a misleading name for the kind of drawing we are going to talk about. That is because it can be highly creative and lots and lots of fun. It is the kind of drawing designers and architects use. They use mathematics, technical devices (like compasses and French curves), and laws of perspective to draw their drawings.
It used to be taught in a very boring and strict way. Sometimes children even hated going off to Tech Drawing! Fancy that - hating drawing! People had made so many rules and students got into trouble if they got them wrong. (Doh! Sooooo old-fashioned!) Because kids hated it - it went out of fashion. When Tech Drawing left the scene, kids began to struggle with drawing. Some began to lose their confidence and feel as though they just could not draw at all!
Well, we will fix that loss of confidence. I am going to show you how learning the basic rules of drawing can make your experiences of fun drawing activities tons better. You will start to like both.

Keep working until you have it all together. Voila! A pencil sharpener. Kids, that is all there is to it.From here you can have fun. You can use your imagination until your heart is delighted.
