On the 17th January 2004 From 1 O'clock in the afternoon until 5pm Queensland Wildlife Artists Society Inc. will host what is lovingly called a BABY BEASTIE DAY. This is shaping up to be a great afternoon! The artists who are currently permanent residents of the Art House Gallery Queensland are nature lovers. These dedicated artists draw, paint and sculpt wildlife. Much of the wildlife that they depict is endangered. If you live in Brisbane may be you would like to drop in?

It will certainly be worth your while. The kids will love it. You will be able to show your children "live little beasties." Perhaps there may be bats, frogs, possums, birds, reptiles, marsupials.

You must remember that these are only suggestions about what kinds of animals might be there for you guys to look at! Baby animals at the gallery that afternoon will be animals being looked after by 'volunteer wildlife carers.' Because of this there are no promises of which kind of animals will be there - only that there will be all sorts of animals at the gallery and that it will be a very exciting art afternoon. The kinds of exhibits on display will of interest to both kids and 'oldies but a goodies' alike.

Children if you come along you will be able to see beautiful artworks and talk to the artists who draw, paint or sculpt them. What fun will that be! Don't forget to bring your little drawing books along and record what you see. This is your chance! Remember the scrappy journal that we made when we began these actvities? Well how about you make a special scrappy journal so that you can record the fun you have that day. Adults might wish to bring the journal along that they made with Kez in her Creative Book Binding Course! We are certainly providing lots of ways that you can use the skills you learn at the SuiteU. in new and innovative ways! It would be great if you could browse Drawing Nature the topic and the Course of the same name. This will help you make the most of what will be available at the gallery on the Sunday Afternoon. Kids there is going to be great things happening that afternoon! Who remembers Mark?

Have you seen him with the Goodall Boys lately? Remember how funny he is? Well he will be there with his camera and all. If he can't make you laugh nothing can. Even though saving the precious endangered animals of the bush is serious business - we can still have fun while we do it you know.

Especially when Mark is around!
