Looking back, I’d definitely say it was one of my better on-set experiences to date, primarily because of the cool cast and crew. The AD was one of the bigger jerks I’ve had to deal with, but he does have one of the most thankless jobs in the world, so I won’t hold a grudge. I may have worked insane hours, but I made good overtime, reconnected with an old friend, and made some new friends. My only real regret was missing that Macy’s audition, but commercials are an odds game anyway, so I’d rather be making the money than spinning a roulette wheel. If you’re just starting out, maybe new to the union, and wanting more on-set experience, I would recommend giving stand-in work a try.
