A number of stars head out to the nominees and presenters bar during the show, and that's where Lexi and her crew happened to be when Michael Moore gave his controversial speech when winning Best Documentary Feature. While Lexi doesn't necessarily share Moore's opinions that he gave that night, she liked it for pure entertaining reasons. Once the Oscars ended, Lexi and her crew went to the Governor's Ball, the traditional big party held by the Academy where everyone usually heads first before going out to all the other parties. The Governor's Ball is of course reserved for nominees only, and traditionally always serves up some great food. Lexi said, "Just a bunch of the elite hanging out eating and drinking. If you want to run into Nic Cage or Jack Nicholson, just head to the smoker's patio." Lexi called it a night after the Governor's Ball, although Lexi thought that Dash was out quite late. "We really weren't in that good of a mood. You have to understand, a lot of people thought we were the favorite and so did we." The limo dropped off Lexi at her house around 12:30 AM, and her night at the Oscars was completed. If you remember from the past articles in this series, one of the people that Lexi was hoping to meet on Oscar Night was Martin Scorsese. "Can you believe it? I never ended up meeting Marty. Everybody but Marty. I think he also wasn't in a big party mood and I couldn't find him anywhere at the Governor's Ball. One of these days ...", she went on to say. So the 75th Annual Academy Awards are history, and Lexi Alexander has experienced something truly unique and special, even if the outcome was not quite what she had hoped or expected. With her skill, passion, and dedication, I have no doubt we'll be seeing her name in the Oscar Nominees in the future. So what's next for Lexi? "I am reading a lot of scripts and I have a lot of meetings with studio executives. It won't be long until I make a choice on a feature.
