Charming Man was a 29 minute film whose subject was racism against immigrants in Denmark. According to Lexi, this choice did teach her a lot about the Academy itself, not only in the decision in her category, but also in some of the other choices. Like me, she was truly expecting that this would be Martin Scorsese's year to finally win an Oscar. She said, "You just can't predict anything. My mind about the Academy has changed quite a bit.
