Golden Globes and the Other Movie Guild Nominations


In addition, two legends of cinema will receive lifetime achievement awards at the various guild awards ceremony. Steven Spielberg will receive the Director's Guild lifetime achievement award, while Sidney Poitier receives a lifetime achievement honor at the Screen Actors Guild ceremony. Here's a look at their nominations.

The Sixth Annual Screen Actors Guild Nominations

Nominations for outstanding performances in acting have been announced in 13 categories for the Sixth Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards®. Two randomly selected panels totaling 4,200 SAG members from across the U.S. chose the nominees for television and motion pictures for outstanding performances in 1999.

The Actor®, the Screen Actors Guild Awards® statuette for outstanding performances in acting, will be presented Sunday, March 12, 2000 at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center, televised live nationally on TNT (Turner Network Television) at 8 p.m. (ET/PT), 7 p.m. Central, 6 p.m., Mountain.
