Sean Penn and Samantha Morton of Woody Allen's Sweet and Lowdown will be promoted for actor and supporting actress, and there will be support for Ed Harris for Best Actor for the upcoming The Third Miracle.

Fine Line Ad Campaigns 1999 Movies 

They think it has a winner in Tumbleweeds, another mother/daughter drama, with a strong hope for Janet McTeer as Best Actress.

It's also planning a campaign for Sharon Stone as supporting actress in the forthcoming Simpatico.

Fine Line's parent, New Line, is banking on Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia, an ensemble drama whose best Oscar chance may be a supporting actor nomination for Tom Cruise.

It plans to campaign for Philip Seymour Hoffman for Flawless and Peter Mullan and Saffron Burrows for Miss Julie.

USA Films Ad Campaigns 1999 Movies

USA Films, which absorbed October Films and Gramercy Pictures in a midyear merger, has a wealth of contenders, including three for Best Picture: Spike Jonze's Being John Malkovich,  Ang Lee's Ride With the Devil and Mike Leigh's Topsy-Turvy.

Besides John Cusack, Catherine Keener and Cameron Diaz, Being John presents the opportunity for voters
