Nominations for 77th Annual Academy Awards

Patty Fox Returns as Oscar Fashion Coordinator

Patty Fox has been named fashion coordinator of the 77th Academy Awards® telecast, producer Gil Cates announced today. In 2001, for the 73rd Academy Awards, Fox served for the first time as fashion coordinator, after having orchestrated the Academy's annual fashion previews for the previous decade for Fred Hayman.

Trained as a fashion designer, Fox is the author of two books, Star Style: Hollywood Legends as Fashion Icons and Star Style at the Academy Awards®. During a decade as the fashion director for Saks Fifth Avenue's Western Region, she launched the premiere collections for such designers as Christian Lacroix, Donna Karan, Isaac Mizrahi and Karl Lagerfeld.

In her role as Academy Awards telecast fashion coordinator, Fox will coordinate the fashion preview, scheduled for February 15, 2005 in the Academy's Grand Lobby, and will assist presenters and performers in their Oscar Night fashion selections.
