While not as in-depth a guide as say the Mason Wiley and Damien Bona Oscar history books (which are far more entertaining and in-depth), this one is still a must for the serious Oscar collector. You should be able to find the book at any online book retailer or in your local bookstores. It includes coverage of all 75 Academy Awards ceremonies. The cover for the newest book can be seen to the left.

So that's it for now ... in just a few days it will be November ... it's already getting difficult to keep up with all the quality films out there, and November will unleash even more, followed by the onslaught of films in December. So as we follow all the films and start predicting the Oscar race, it will be interesting to see how many more precursor awards organizations decide to not hold their awards because of this screener ban decision ... I can only hope that enough furor is raised to make the MPAA and the major studios reverse their decision entirely and decide to encrypt screeners instead. We shall see ...
