Proofreading Term Papers is Important

If your first language is not English, there may be other grammar points that you may wish to keep your eyes open for; some common ones involve use of articles, plurals, gender (he/she), and verb tenses.

Hot Tip for Proofreading:

Read your paper backwards, from the bottom right corner back up to the top left. That way, your brain won't be fooled by the meaning of the words, and the little errors will stand out more clearly.

Lukewarm Tip for Proofreading:

Tthis one is lukewarm because you've surely been nagged about it before. Don't finish your paper 10 minutes before the deadline. Give yourself a break, at least a day or two, and then go back and read it with fresh eyes. You'll notice many more things with this little bit of distance between you and the paper.

When you see the marks you save, you'll be glad you did!
