Hi, Kids, Today, I'm going to tell you about my friend, Tosha. She is a yellow lab. She lives not far from my house and very near the canal where Mary and Dwight take me for my walks. Tosha and I met when I was just a puppy. I was about 3 months old at the time. We've been friends ever since. Tosha is a good friend. I usually see her every morning about 7:30. Her owner, Karen, takes her for a walk at that time, just before she leaves for work. Tosha is very pretty. She has brown eyes and is very obedient. She never walks with a leash. Karen has taught her to stay near. Tosha only runs to meet me when Karen says she can. I like Tosha a lot. We have lots of fun playing in the snow in winter. We also like to play in the long grass in a field opposite the canal in summer. The other morning, Tosha and Karen were in the field when we got to the canal. Karen said okay, and Tosha leaped across the snowy field, running at full steam. Whomp! She ran right into me. I prepared myself when I saw that Tosha wasn't going to stop before she got to me. I didn't move when we collided. She only weighs about 65 pounds. I think Tosha thought I was going to fall into the snow when she hit me. I sure fooled her. Then, she started to scold me. She barked and barked. Then she growled. She was telling me off. In a few minutes, Tosha got over her snit and I jumped at her. The fun began. We rolled in the snow, snarled and growled at each other. If anyone had seen us, they might have thought we were fighting, but we weren't. We were just having a good time. I'm glad my friend Tosha likes to play a little rough. We tumble and roll, snarl and growl, bark and whine. We have a great time. Soon, it was time for Karen to go to work and time for us to come home. What a wonderful start for the day. Tosha and I see each other almost every morning and sometimes in the afternoon, as well. She is a great friend. I hope you enjoyed learning about her.
