New web site, silly season continues, Ray Everham seeks greener pastures, and the MBNA Gold 400 from Dover Downs International Speedway.

New Web Site....... Check it out!

While watching the crashfest Saturday (Busch race) with my son, I happened to hear Bobby Hillin mention one of his main sponsors, a name that I hadn't heard of yet. He was sitting on the grass about to take a few breaths of oxygen after almost being burned up in his racer (No. 8) after getting caught up in one of the many bad wrecks. So, I went to the computer and checked it out. The site is still under construction and growing, but they already have a lot of things to offer the NASCAR fan. Which include, a brief history of the sport, track information, chat room, bulletin board, and lots of other stuff. Check them out at "http://www.prodriver.net/"

Who's Sitting Where? Silly Season Continues...

You can find a recap of the current status of Silly Season as of last week, according to NASCAR Online here . With seven races left, there's still lots of time for more changes before the end of the season. Actually, it usually continues until the first of the year, and sometimes beyond, depending on the acquisition of sponsors by the teams that find themselves left out in the cold with just a few weeks to go before the Bud Shootout and Daytona 500 gets underway to start the new season.

Ray Everham... Greener Pastures?

There has been lots of talk in the last few of weeks about Ray Everham leaving Hendrick Motorsports. Lots of articles have been written about it. Jeff Gordon was asked about it in an interview during last Saturday's Busch race at Dover, but naturally wouldn't make any comment (like the interviewer thought he would?). He said that his main objective was to concentrate on the race he was about to drive at Dover (No kidding! Who would have thought?).

I have an idea that when all of the pieces that have been thrown up in the air fall into place, Ray will have his own team and Jeff Gordon will be driving for him. There's always the legal complications to deal with, and they had better be dealt with while Mr. Hendrick is still around and able to deal with them. I've had first hand reports that Mr. Hendrick's health is failing, and his remission from his battle with Leukemia is a thing of the past. Anyway, there is an article about it at CNN/Sports Illustrated . Check it out!
