The Complexity of .hack//sign

.hack//sign, an animated series about a group of characters who meet each other inside an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game), but not just about a group of characters who meet each other inside an MMORPG, just may be one of the finest, most original and thought-provoking series ever aired. Note that I said series, and not animated series.
What's more, it's airing on Cartoon Network, the last place where I'd expect such an animated property to air. This action, which was perhaps perpetrated by Linda Simensky or some high-ranking development/program executive, has restored my trust in Cartoon Network and my belief in their ability to establish quality programs for their loyal viewers.
