Poison's Flesh & Blood CD, and the videos - is the whole package really, the hair, the make-up, the clothes, the attitude . The song "Every Rose Has Its Thorns" touched everyone's heart - young, old, metal, pop people alike.
Their ballady/slower songs were a bit more popular "Ride The Wind" than the razzy dazziness of "Unskinny Bop", but nonetheless still a song worth hearing over. The CDs include "Open Up and Say Ahh" and "Look What the Cat Dragged In." After their CD "Native Tongue" was released in the early '90s, they seemed to disappear. Most of the '80s bands got lost in the grunge explosion and Poison was no exception. They also had a switch of guitarists after the departure of C.C. DeVille, which didn't help matters any. Rikki Rockett, drums/percussion, and Bobby Dall, bassist, round out the group. Bret Michaels was directing and starring in a movie called "Letter from Death Row" a short while back. This movie has been in production for years. It is finally coming out under his movie company, Sheen/Michaels Entertainment, after Michaels did not receive a deal and hooked up with Charlie Sheen (who seems to be having his own problems) to be partners. The band was dropped from Capitol Records (this label is dropping everyone lately) and they never did released Poison's last CD Crack A Smile which, according to many fans, is one of their best albums to date. It had been reported that Poison may be in talks with Epic Records for a possible deal.Poison should make a comeback. Grunge is dead and alt.rock is back with rockers glamming it up. So, where does that lead us back to? Glamrock! There's Ratt, Warrant, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Poison and Dokken (maybe Motley Crue) are the ones that come into mind. Go To Page: 1
