Sheena Easton is Back With New CD

Sheena Easton is back with a new CD entitled Fabulous released in November 2000 by new record label, Universal. It is a 18-song collection, recorded in the UK and the first single is "Giving Up, Giving In". She has been recently on "Jerry Springer" giving an interview and performance in December 2000 promoting the new CD. Sheena was born in Scotland as Sheena Orr. She did a "Making of the Band" type documentary called "The Big Time" in the early '80s and got her first hit "9 to 5" from the exposure. It is more familiar with American audiences as "Morning Train" and ultimately sold a million copies in the US. She was nominated and won the Grammy® Award for the 1981 Best New Artist (or what it is jokingly known as "The Kiss of Death Award"). The following year, she recorded "We've Got Tonight", a duet with Kenny Rogers, hit US #6 and went to #1 on the US country charts. "Telefone (Long Distance Love Affair)" also hits the US chart at #9. She is also highly known for her James Bond song, "For Your Eyes Only" and for her relationship with Prince (working and otherwise), which had the hit "U Got The Look" which made US #2 and UK #11. She performed the song with him on his Sign O' The Times tour. The video. "Sugar Walls" peaks on the US chart at #9 and #3 on R&B charts. Sheena is recognized as the only artist in history to have Top 5 hits on Billboard's five major charts: Pop, R&B, Country, Adult Contemporary, and Dance (at least, as of the '80s). During a break in singing, Sheena also landed a few acting roles including guest starring in Miami Vice as Don Johnson's wife Caitlin Davies, on Broadway in Grease and Man of La Mancha. In the nineties, Sheena recorded "What Comes Naturally" and it made went to US #19. She followed the What Comes Naturally record with No Strings in 1993 and Greatest hits type releases in 1995 and 1996.
