Arcanum: Pop Electronica Band From Georgia

A band that has influences from the '80s is Arcanum, a great pop electronica band from Georgia. Arcanum started three years ago with an ad that read "Producer looking for vocalist. Music infl. Duran, Lyrical infl. Depeche Mode." How more '80s can you get than that?

Their first CD, the 15-song The Spoken Scream has won many a favorable review (including mine!) in both Internet and paper magazines and radio, including reaching #6 in Lithuania. Don't get the idea that Arcanum is "stuck" in the '80s; Garbage is one of their favorite bands.

Brett Schieber and Shaz make the two man team that does everything on their own-promotion, music, lyrics, production. They have, in recent months, received a number of deals that they are mulling over.

Arcanum also has The Visual Scream, their video set that includes "Rhythm is a Sadist," "Love Like a Loaded Gun," and "Masochist." TVS also shows Brett and Shaz live plus in interview. Cool! There is an Interview No Mercy for Virgin Soil.
