Time Life has some '80s Music

It doesn't sound very likely that Time Life would have such a HUGE assortment of '80s music, but they do. Time Life usually means books (lots and lots of books), historical books and to-do books. Perhaps some videos, but music?

Well think again. Time Life's Sounds of the '80s begins the music section of the decade. It describes all of their volumes of '80s music with an abstract of each along with their own web site.

The Rockin' Eighties is one of the first volumes and gives the biggest hits.
The Volume 1980 includes Lipps, Inc.'s "Funkytown" and the forthcoming decade timed as going from disco to dance.
The Volume 1981 has Kool and the Gang's "Celebration" and is described as the party year.
The Volume 1982 leads into The Volume 1980-82.
The Volume 1983 has the ever fabulous Culture Club with their hit "Time (Clock of the Heart).
" The Volume 1984 has Kenny Loggins.
At this point, The Volume 1983-84 is released with Donna Summer's hit "She Works Hard For the Money." The Middle is here!
Here we end the early '80s with The Early '80s Compilation and begin the middle years with The Mid '80s Compilation.
The Volume 1985 marks the official beginning with Foreigner's song "I Want To Know What Love Is" and Mr. Mister's hit "Broken Wings."
The Volume 1986 has Banarama.
The Volume 1985-86 marks the completion of the last two years. Think we are almost done? No way! The Volume 1987 has Yes and Genesis.
The Volume 1988 has the fun beach hit from the Beach Boys, "Kokomo."
Now, we end the '80s with, yes, NKOTB (aka New Kids on the Block) with The Volume of 1989.
