HoJo Howard Jones Has a New CD!© Michele Morabito
Howard Jones has been working pretty darn hard lately, however, the last we heard of him was his glory days in 1983 onward with the release of albums "Human’s Lib" and "Dream Into Action" spawning the hits, "What Is Love?" , "Things Can Only Get Better" and "No One Is To Blame".
This brought his fame and fortune as one of the best keyboardist in the business and careers highs like playing Madison Square Garden and Live Aid in 1985. A little less known might have been his 1987 release "One to One" and almost not known 1989 and 1992 releases, "Cross That Line" and "In the Running", respectively. Since 1992, Howard has been steadily making, and marking, his way through the music industry. He even released a fan club only CD called "Working in the Backroom" in 1993 during and after his world tour to promote it. The Year of 1996 is, as they say, the beginning of the re-beginning for Jones. His live CD, "Live Acoustic America" gained critical success and reopened his musical doors and fans re-emerged. The CD is still available in stores and was released in early 1996 on Plump Records. This was accompanied by a intermitten nearly year long, successful tour ending in late 1996. During this time, the unstoppable "HoJo", as he’s called, was continuing to record and write for his next album entitled "Angels & Lovers", the same as his performance in London in November 1996. Angels & Lovers has recently been released off Pony Canyon in Japan on August 20, 1997 and will be released everywhere else shortly on Jones’ own label. One of the tracks, "If You Love" may already be familiar as its been on the Party Of Five soundtrack. His older song, "No One is To Blame" was featured on the soundtrack of "Romy & Michelle’s High School Reunion" in 1997. Plans are being made for another tour to support "Angels & Lovers".
