Motley Crue: Fools or Wisemen?

"Smoking in the Boys Room" has their crossover hit. Then came "Home Sweet Home", both of the Theatre of Pain album. Girls, Girls, Girls album came the hard rocking hits, "Girls Girls Girls" and "Wild Side" and the Dr. Feelgood album continued with "Dr. Feelgood", "Kickstart My Heart", "Same 'Ol Situation", but also had ballads of "Without You", "Don't Go Away Mad". Underneath all this raging "motley crew" actually lies some pretty talented guys, not too mention having good business alliances. They all contribute musically for the band, with Nikki Sixx doing most of the writing. They have mulitple side solo projects (1958, Planet Boom, Quarnery, Exposed, Vince Neil Band) including various member's record labels, "Yummy Records", "Americoma Records" and even "Motley Records". Both Vince Neil and Nikki Sixx have clothing lines available at their Melrose Place, California retail store called S'Crue. These guys are really prolific, they play hard (REALLY hard) and they work harder. Motley Crue start way back in 1980-81 era and have not stopped yet. They only pitt stop was the firing of Vince Neil as lead singer and the introduction of John Corabi as a replacement. Vince Neil is back in the band since the late 1990s. They are currently on their "Greatest Hits" tour and plan to have more dates in 1999.
