Where is Corey Hart?

The '80s Teen Idols special on VH-1 profiled Corey Hart, and we have not heard much about him in a decade.

What's  happened to this guy!  Everyone liked, "Sunglasses At Night", "Never Surrender", and "Boy in the Box" from the 1983-85 era of music. The dark brooding Corey with the shades. He doesn't look much different now then he did then, but he has been through a tumbles in his career for the past 13 years or so.

He has written a few tunes on fellow Canadian Celine Dion's latest album "Let's Talk About Love".   He also just released a self-titled album early last year and toured quite extensively in Canada where he resides. It seems the album was not promoted in the United States where, hopefully, it would have noticed it. He has a total of seven (7) albums out in his career.

His personal life has also had some rollercoaster rides. He was dropped from his record label Aquarius in the mid-late '80s and with that retreated into silence until the early '90s. In a nutshell, he simultaneusly built a big house in Canada, then broke up with his wife while starting another relationship which has so far resulted in two (2) daughters in 1995 and 1997.

As far as we can tell, Corey is not touring or has another album in the works. So for the time being in 1998 he is taking a bit of a break. The decision on the attack or stalled, we hope it is temporarily stalled. Let's hope not for long!
