The Race (part 2)Josh blazed out in front with his four wheeler. He was kicking up dust behind him as he went. On the first day he finished about two miles ahead of the majority. The lines were drawn in front of the four wheelers and no one could move there four wheeler ahead of that line until seven the next morning. Josh set up his tent and started making supper over a camp fire. He was grilling some steaks over the fire when he heard a growling sound coming from in the woods a little off of the trail. The sound was coming closer and closer. All of a sudden he saw a huge grizzly step out of the woods. The bear had to be at least eight feet tall and it looked hungry. By this time the bear started popping his jaw. This means he is really mad and means business. He went strait for the steaks then for Josh because he thought Josh was invading his territory. The bear was fiercely chomping and swatting at Josh. Luckily Josh took the word of advice that the race organizers had given him. That was to carry a can of pepper spray with him for protection against bears. HE quickly pulled the spray out of his back pocket and squirted it right in the bears eyes. The bear made a high wining sound and started to waddle off in severe pain. The bear kept on knocking into trees on his way back into the woods because the pepper spray had temporarily blinded him. It was a close call for Josh. After the bear left he maid something else to eat and went to bed. He knew he would have a long hard day ahead of him tomorrow and he needed all the rest he could get. The next morning the judges started the race up again at seven sharp. By mid day a couple of racers were challenging Josh for first place. It was a kind of sea saw battle. One of the men took the lead then the other one came up from behind and took the lead. At the end of the day Josh was in third place. He was only half a mile out of first. the second morning of the race the judges noticed someone had went past there line. The guy had moved up approximately a half of a mile from where the line was and then he tried to make a fake one so the judges wouldn't know. The guy was quickly
