Four Wheeler Protective Gear

There are many types of protective gear available for four wheeling. The most inportant one is a helmet. Another one is boots. A third thing is elbow and knee pads.

A helmet is very important. If you don't have anything else at least have a helmet. Your head is probably the worst part of your body to get injured and also probably the easiest. Another thing is if you do injure it it probably is prety bad. There are many types of helmets. One type is the moto cross style. The moto cross style raps completly around your head. It also has a small visor. With the moto cross style helmet you will want to where goggles. A second type is an open face helmet. It protects the back of your head but has nothing to cover your face. If you had this type of helmet you probably would want to wear gogles with it. A third type of helmet is a snowmobile style helmet. This is a good type because it covers your whole head and has a sheild that pulls down over you eyes.

Boots are important also. If you don't have propper foot protection and your foot gets under the tire somehow you could break your ankle or even your leg. A good pair of boots for four wheeling could help prevent your foot from slipping under the tire, and if it does get under the tire it might help support your leg so it doesn't break as easy.

Elbow and knee pads will help if you fall off the four wheeler, or crash it. they will help prevent your elbows and knees from getting hurt. You don't want a sore knee when riding a four wheeler or you won't be able to ride as good, or it will get even sorer quickly.

So you see why the right protective gear is a good thing to have. If you don't have it you could get seriously hurt.
