This Halloween have a ton of fun at your Halloween party with this "spook"tacular game.
Set-up
Choose a room or closet which is quite dark, but with some room to set up "Stations". Decorate in a "haunted" fashion, with only enough light to see slightly ahead of you.
Supplies
- Various food creations (see descriptions below)
- Deep plastic bowls
- Paper towels
- paper
- pencil/pens
The Story
The story goes....."Once in this town there lived a man named Hal O. Ween. T'was years ago, on this very night, that he was murdered out of spite. They say these are his remains."
The Game
Take one person at a time into your "haunted" room, and have them reach into each bowl. Remind them what "body part" is inside the bowl. Have them then write down their guess at to what is _really_ in the bowl. Have paper towels available for each player to wipe their hands off.
The "Body Parts"
- Here is his brain, which now feels no pain.
use a peeled squishy tomato or gelatin turned out of a bumpy mold - Here are his eyes, still frozen with surprise.
use two frozen, peeled grapes or black olives - Here is his heart. Be careful lest it start!
use a large lump of uncooked liver or similar meat - Now we have his hair, which once was so fair!
use a handful of corn silk or wet fur or yarn - And then there's his skin, all peeled and broken.
use an oiled flour tortilla - Feel these drops of his blood. All the rest turned to mud.
use a little catsup thinned with warm water - One hand all alone, just rotting flesh and bone.
use a wet latex glove filled with red gelatin - Now touch his ear. He nevermore will hear!
use a dried apricot or similar dried fruit - This is his nose. T'will never smell a rose.
use the end of a pickle, a hot dog or a soft chicken bone or grissle - And from just underneath, you'll find his teeth.
use unpopped popcorn - His fingers and toes, no longer will grow.
use hot dogs, cut in half with almond slivers glued or tucked into the ends for fingernails - These worms are all that's left to feel. For them Hal O. Ween was a lovely meal!
use cold, wet spaghetti
Winning
The winner of the game is the player who correctly identifies the true bowl contents. Show the bowl contents as you check the players answers.
Reminder
Some people may not want to play as you are asking them to put their hands into ...the unknown. But you can have fun with those who enjoy these types of games. Set up the last bowl so that a secret guest can hide with his or her real, body-temperature hand in the bottom of the bowl. Then when a player reaches their hand into the bowl -- and they are grabbed by another hand... Ahhhhg!!!! ...
