This is the kind of music that puts hair on your chest. American Head Charge is loud, intense, angry and in your face. Lead singer Martin Cock has a good melodic voice, which is heard briefly in most songs, but mainly uses a screaming heavy metal voice which sounds like he had a couple of razor blades for breakfast. The rest of the band provides a wall of sonic fury on each track, with dual guitarists and even a band member who plays an “audio meat grinder”. That’s an apt instrument for American Head Charge. The Rick Rubin produced The War Of Art is a fierce and ferocious wake up call to the world of metal, and the band’s onstage antics such as burning a flag and firing a shotgun draw even more attention that certainly won’t hurt their album sales.

Babyface – Love Songs
This is one of those CD’s that the ladies will love, and men can use to their advantage. Love Songs should become a staple in the genre of “seduction CD’s”. Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds has been around for over a decade, and has released some great slow jams over the years, 16 of which are collected here. He’s one of the premiere R&B and urban producers, songwriters and singers of the past decade. From “Whip Appeal” on his first CD to “Every Time I Close My Eyes” on his latest, Babyface has consistently delivered some of the smoothest ballads you’ll ever hear. Love Songs, if not used properly, could cause a population explosion, so make sure to always use safe listening practices.
