Plan on giving your kitty a treat of turkey from your holiday bird? You might not want to share that much of the feast with him. Turkey bones, like chicken bones, can splinter easily and injure your pet. The fatty skin from the holiday bird can also give an upset stomach and damage the pancreas with symptoms such as diarrhea, pain and vomiting.
Discard any leftovers properly, since a big turkey carcass in the garbage can tempt any well-mannered kitty. While you're snoozing because of all that turkey, your kitty may be having a feast of his own. Maybe you can give them some turkey canned food from a regular cat food supplier. I'm very thankful for so much, each and every day. One of the things I'm thankful for is my family, which of course includes my children Van and Belle. They're my babies, my pets and my friends. Count your blessings, pet your kitties and have a great Thanksgiving.
