© Linda Suzane

Marilyn Lee is a erotic romance writer with an impressive list of contemporary erotic stories and novels available from Renaissance E-Books and Ellora's Cave. For a complete list, check out her website at http://members.aol.com/Mlee2057/MLee.htm

With BLOODLUST I, which was part of the anthology, THINGS THAT GO BUMP IN THE NIGHT, she began what looks to be an interesting vampire / fantasy series, which now includes BLOODLUST I, THE TALISMAN, and BLOODLUST II, THE TAMING OF SERGE.

While the TALISMAN is not precisely a vampire novel, her vampire, Serge, does appear in it as a friend of the main character and the talismans which plays such an important role in THE TALISMAN appear in BLOODLUST II: THE TAMING OF SERGE. Marilyn Lee recommends reading the TALISMAN before reading BLOODLUST II.

When not writing romances, Marilyn enjoys roller-skating, spending time with her large extended family, and rooting for all her hometown sports teams. Her other interests include collecting Doc Savage pulp novels from the thirties and forties and collecting Marvel comics from the seventies and eighties. She thoroughly enjoys hearing from readers who can email her at MLee2057@AOL.com.

I let them pick their occupations, their fantasies, and even their skin color. ;-0

You have approached such a controversial subject, as interracial couplings with sensitivity and care. What sort of response have you gotten from readers?
The response from readers who are not my friends have been extremely positive, which is another reason I continue to write interracial love stories.

Do you think it has hurt or helped your career?
I don't know that's it's done either. I like to think that my stories stand on their own and I've been fortunate enough to develop a core readership that read my stories whether they're interracial, vampire, paranormal, or just plain contemporaries. I've been very fortunate in that respect.

Dealing with controversial subjects and different heroines seems to be a habit, since not only have some of your heroines been black, some have been full figured. Why do you choose such out of the norm heroines?
Actually, I don't think it is out of the norm. Granted it's probably out of the "norm" as
