Art Conservation/Repatriation
Here you will find articles about art conservation and repatriation.
Several terms commonly are often considered interchangeable when, in fact, they have very precise meanings:
- Conservation/Preservation: to save/preserve cultural heritage, to prevent further damage
- Restoration: to return an item to its original state
- Refurbish: to make something look as it might have done previously, but not necessarily exactly as it was.
- Renovation: to renew and repair
